We have just finished our second major tree planting day — 150 or more trees, in four varieties: birch, Scots pine, oak and ash. They were planted at a bed and breakfast with views over the Eildon Hills, about five miles from Kelso in the Scottish Borders.
We collect native seed, grow our own trees and plant them ourselves. It is a small, hands-on kind of conservation, and it is how we give something back.
