We are proud to say that another 150-plus trees have been planted in the heart of the Scottish Borders, at a bed and breakfast about five miles from Kelso. With its view of the Eildon Hills, it is a fine spot to plant trees.
We planted four varieties — Scots pine, ash, oak and silver birch — blended together to make as natural a woodland as possible, and to give the house a good source of firewood in years to come for its Charnwood Island stove. There are another few acres still to plant.
Growing our own trees from native seed and planting them ourselves is part of how we work.
